Glasgow based Impact Funding Partners (IFP), a leading national fund management organisation and charity consultancy, has announced the appointment of Cate Nelson-Shaw as its new Chief Executive.

Cate has worked across the third, private and public sectors, at both executive and Board level. Over the last few years she has been working as a Fractional CEO in the arts, transport and economic regeneration sectors. Prior to this Cate held senior marketing and communications roles in the private sector across a diverse range of industries and founded and ran her own consultancy business. She therefore brings plenty of experience and expertise to the role at IFP, where she has been Interim Chief Executive since November last year.

IFP’s Chair, Clare Gibb, says, “After a rigorous recruitment process we are delighted to announce Cate has been appointed as Chief Executive for the charity. She stood out from a field of exceptional candidates and we are pleased Cate will start with us at the end of April”.

Cate will lead the strategic development of IFP, working closely with both colleagues and the Board to build on the organisation’s 40 year legacy.

“I am incredibly pleased to be stepping into the permanent role”, says Cate. “Over the last few months I have seen the teams’ dedication and passion for IFP’s clients and stakeholders and have witnessed first hand the positive impact of the organisation’s relationship funding approach. This, and the huge potential in the brand to deliver real and lasting change, really excites me”.

Cate will take over as Chief Executive on 28 April.
