Purpose of Fund

We are delighted to manage this fund on behalf of a private donor, who wishes to remain anonymous.

Funding of up to £1000 was made available to organisations across Scotland to enable them to tackle social isolation, loneliness and improve wellbeing for adults aged 16+. In total, almost £30,000 was provided in grants to 38 organisations across Scotland.

Eligible activities are running between the 1st May and 30th September 2022.

Micro Grants Fund 2021

In 2021 the same private donor provided £52,000 to 52 projects across Scotland. This allowed for a hugely diverse range of projects to deliver services that support people at risk of social isolation, loneliness or reduced wellbeing.

In total 26 Scottish Council areas received funding with activities including health walks, lunch clubs, conversation cafes, games and activities, cooking classes, knitting, quilting and crafts, garden parties, general exercises, walking football and dancing. Activities were planned carefully in order to comply with Covid-19 restrictions and took place between the 24th of May and the 27th of August 2021.
