Five new directors will take up their new positions at an AGM on Wednesday 6th November.

Impact Funding Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of five new directors to our board: Anne Callaghan, Daphne Biliouri-Grant, Iqbal Bedi, Kathryn Welch and Ross McCulloch.

The board, along with the Senior Management Team, will lead Impact Funding Partners as they embark on a new strategy for 2019-2024 while also ensuring the company promotes its mission of making the most of the strengths and assets within communities by distributing funding, increasing capacity and building trusting relationships.

Impact Funding Partners has 37 years’ experience of fund management and has distributed over £150 million to third sector organisations across Scotland.

The five new members will take up their positions in November with the current chair, Joanna McLaughlin, continuing to serve in that position.

Anne Callaghan is the Scottish Campaign Manager for the Campaign to End Loneliness. She is also the co-chair of the Action Group on Isolation & Loneliness which looks to influence, provide expertise and champion innovative approaches. She also sits on the Scottish Government Social Isolation & Loneliness Implementation Group. Anne is passionate about the positive change that individuals and communities can make and has over 25 years of experience as a campaigner on a range of issues in human rights, international development and social justice.

Daphne Biliouri-Grant has been advising government and corporate clients on issues of corporate governance, sustainability and political & reputational risk for the past 25 years. She has extensive international experience having lived and worked in numerous countries and a specialist knowledge promoting social responsibility within the business strategy of corporates. Daphne is also a trustee for Fife Women’s Aid and St. Andrews Community Trust as well as being the coordinator of the ‘Towards A Plastic Free St. Andrews’ Initiative’.

Iqbal Bedi runs a boutique global telecoms advisory firm where he advises senior Scottish and UK Government ministers, local authorities, investors and operators on their telecoms policy and digital inclusion. He regularly appears on BBC providing commentary on digital and telecom matters and is also the founder of a FinTech startup which will be launched soon. Iqbal has previously served as a board member for tech body Scotland IS and is currently a board member at East Dunbartonshire Leisure Culture & Trust.

Kathryn Welch is the Operations Manager at MacRobert Arts Centre in Stirling where she manages the front of house, box office and fundraising & marketing functions whilst also championing the role of creativity in building inclusive, empathetic and connected communities. Her experience across the social sector in Scotland includes communications and income generation in the arts, youth work, education, women’s and community developments sectors. Kathryn is also the founder of Stirling Soup – a community crowdfunding event to support Stirling’s good causes which was nominated for a ‘Celebrating Communities’ award at the 2017 Scottish Charity Awards.

Ross McCulloch is the director of Third Sector Lab which is a specialist consultancy supporting charities with digital strategy. He is known in the sector for this work developing Digital Trustees Scotland, Be Good Be Social, SCVO’s One Digital Sector Leadership Programme and a range of other digital training services. Ross was previously Head of Communications for Relationships Scotland and is a trustee of Parenting Across Scotland. Ross also brings a wealth of funding knowledge having previously sat on grant committees for Foundation Scotland, Comic Relief, FairShare and the Scottish Whisky Action Fund.
