1) Child Poverty Action Group
Child Poverty Action Group has a programme of online training courses designed to help advisers stay informed and up-to-date during the current public health crisis.
These online training courses will until September and range in topic and training level to suit all learning requirements. They are run by experienced tutors in small class groups using the Zoom platform. Courses include:
- Claimants and custody: 13 August
- An introduction to Universal credit: 28 August

2) Wellbeing At Work
Understand the importance of employee wellbeing, and consider different definitions of and theoretical approaches to wellbeing.
This is a free online course through Coventry University. If you join this course for free, you have four weeks to access the material. There are other access options, but a cost is involved.

3) Training For People Managers & HR Professionals
ACAS have scheduled digital training events designed to help people managers and HR professionals who are facing change and disruption.
A range of courses are currently available, including:
- Managing homeworkers
- Changing terms and conditions of employment
- Redundancy: getting it right
- Employment law update
- Mental health
- Extreme, persistent and difficult workplace behaviours
- Managing discipline and grievance
- Transition from lockdown
Delegates attending these events will receive a certificate of attendance. ACAS can also arrange for training to be delivered for your workplace if you have a larger number of people to train. For more overall information, click here.
4) See Me In Work
See Me has a free, easy to use e-Learning programme for managers and staff . You can learn more about how mental health stigma and discrimination impacts people in work. Find out about rights and good practice at every stage of your working life – from recruitment, when in work and when returning to work following a period of ill-health.
See Me in Work aims to support employers to create a working environment where people feel safe and able to talk openly about mental health. By doing this, they hope that employees who are experiencing problems will be supported and where possible will stay well and in work.

5) Tendering For Contracts
Learn how to successfully engage with public and private sector customers through the tendering process. Choose from up to 6 practical and insightful modules and complete them at your own pace. You can find out more here.
